What is TalentPrint?

TalentPrint is Peopletree Group's integrated talent management platform. It combines forced-ranking 360 behavioural assessment, performance management, development planning, and succession tracking in one system. Assessments take 9-14 minutes per respondent and are built on the Talent Genome competency framework - a research-based model covering 18 behavioural clusters (standard) or all 60 competencies (TalentPrint Plus).

What is the difference between TalentPrint and TalentPrint Plus?

TalentPrint assesses 18 behavioural clusters and is suited for broad talent profiling across an organisation. TalentPrint Plus assesses all 60 competencies in the Talent Genome framework and is used for deeper individual or role-specific profiling - typically for succession candidates, leadership assessments, or high-potential identification. Both use forced-ranking methodology to eliminate rating bias.

What is forced-ranking and why does TalentPrint use it?

Forced-ranking requires respondents to choose between behaviours rather than rate them on a scale. This eliminates leniency bias, central tendency bias, and social desirability bias that distort traditional Likert-scale assessments. The result is a more accurate and differentiated behavioural profile. It is the reason TalentPrint data is reliable enough to use in succession decisions, not just development conversations.

Can TalentPrint be used as a standalone assessment tool?

Yes. TalentPrint assessments can be used independently for specific projects such as talent reviews, leadership assessments, or recruitment screening. They can also be integrated into a full talent management value chain using the TalentPrint Suite, which connects assessment data to performance, development, and succession processes. Most clients start with a specific use case and expand from there.

Is TalentPrint part of the TMaaS offering?

Yes. TalentPrint is the core execution engine of the Peopletree TMaaS (Talent Management as a Service) offering. When organisations subscribe to TMaaS, TalentPrint is the platform through which assessment, performance, development, and succession processes are managed and delivered. It is also available as a standalone platform for organisations that want to run their own processes.

How long does implementation take?

For a standalone assessment deployment, TalentPrint can be configured and live within two weeks. For a full TMaaS implementation - including performance management, development planning, and succession tracking - the typical timeline is six to eight weeks from contract to first active users. The implementation is managed by Peopletree, not by your IT team.

What data security standards does TalentPrint meet?

TalentPrint is SOC 2 Type II certified and GDPR and POPIA compliant. The platform is hosted on Microsoft Azure with 99.9% uptime SLA. Employee assessment data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Data residency options are available for organisations with specific regulatory requirements.
